I have a watermark-- kind of. It works as my signature & watermark. I put it in the bottom right corner of the image. Will that be okay? Should I remove it? I don't mind removing it, and it could be done very quickly.

Thanks.

Hey you don't have to remove the watermark as long as it's in one of the edges and small. In case you win we might request for a non-watermarked copy. :)

Due to computer issues the submission i was working on's PSD was erased along with a crap ton of other things. The screen-shots however are still ok and i have all my notes and backed up saves that were uploaded into my scraps. Is this still an OK to submit? the video clearly shows the steps i took(with the screenshots, and their were quite a few of them) and notes are in the previous uploaded saves which are still in my scraps and linked in the description. The video i made was uploaded to youtube and to keep away from any copyright infringement i used my own composition rather than someone else's song... because one could argue that in the obscene possibility i actually won that it was using their music for profit in some obscenely abstract way(even just by being in the contest)... since that isn't my intent i used my own songs for this one and my last painting before it as well, only a different song(i put off making the video and figured 'might as well'). I just don't like silence and prefer to have some sort of music when im showing my work. Will a PSD of the work i did off of the back up i kept after it was erased work for the purpose of PSD? If so i still have that one... just not the one i started with. I have had to deal with this glitch several times... and for the sake of my sanity im just going to call it a glitch(and not some unidentified hacker that for whatever reason enjoys screwing with me, see? to some people that sounds like the ramblings of a crazy person... because i guess hackers are that inconceivable, and no i don't know why they would do this other than to be a giant dickface bully... its a painting and i don't even think its a painting that will win... i just have to cover my ass as the saying goes).

Since i don't typically use my own lyrical work for a reason for the vids i have inserted a special disclaimer, which doesn't apply to this contest, or it does just that it failed under 'unless otherwise specified'. I had some issue awhile back with some record company ive never even heard of trying to claim the 'tune' was 'similar' in some way shape or form and thus they owned it. Never went to court or anything... just made me cautious. My compositions are my own and in all honesty, id just rather not have to fight for what is already mine to begin with if i don't have to. I have had enough of that shit for a lifetime. It didn't go to court, they just wanted to put adds on a blog i did because they wanted to claim my song. Since im unknown pretty much its not as if i was making money off of it... so whoever it was was just fishing for the right to put adds in places they had no right to put them.

Also, the image itself has no watermark, but deviant art supplies a watermark so that people cannot just copy and paste art work and claim it as their own or steal it, does that need to be removed for the duration of this contest as well or is their another way of handling that? I know... so many pesky questions. lol xp

well i have not put the mention needed in the description yet just to be clear about that. I didn't want to put it in unless i knew it would be alright if i submitted it.

The deviant art watermark is also on it at the moment but i can take it off easily. I figured id keep that stuff until i knew the answers.

It fits the qualifications i just need to change the display setting to 'original' which makes it the original size and also removes the watermark. I just wanted to me sure first. A lil bit of explanation before i link it.

auroralalune.deviantart.com/ar…

Also, i like this one better... so i was wondering,  since i have not yet been able to do a complete inventory of the files missing, i generally keep some sort of record or i just use my screen-shots since they have file names in them, well sometimes... usually everything starts out as 'untitled' and sometimes i save it in a different file completely.

I know my style and the effects i go for with  my paintings aren't the most popular... but well i should stop nervously explaining and just press send. lol

If you don't mind, this one i used a song i wrote as well. auroralalune.deviantart.com/ar…

yeah... anyway, the only reason i saved the psd at all to anything was because of this contest... i have too  many psd's on my computer. old ones mostly... hence why i have to take a little bit to do inventory. Sometimes i don't change the name until the end of it... i assume the psd is supposed to prove something but im not sure what it proves in of itself. Both of these have links to their respective vids which have been done differently than usual so as not to risk copy right infringement using someone else's songs. Making things completely silent bothers me personally.

Will you also edit out signatures as well? Few people use watermarks but even my grandparents signed photos they took and submitted to contests, and nobody ever told anyone they had to get a copy developed with the film any other way... then again back then asking for the film too was viewed as being at the very LEAST in bad taste.

I have yet to participate in contests like this as an adult for one reason and one reason only.

I will consent to my art being used exactly how i consent to it being used but legally speaking the language is too vague and allows for too many things no artist would ever wish for or agree to, unless they don't read it and don't know what it means in full. Some contests are more blatantly so, even wanting permission to alter, and sell prints of your art and paraphernalia of your art. Rather than sit down with the artists and come up with a more itemized agreement people tend to look for ways to take advantage of people and artists often get the short end of that stick because a big bad magazine has more money and all too often even if they break a law a lawyer is an expensive thing.

Essentially this is saying you want to make us scramble to win your favor, though not bluntly, but want to use our artwork for free and be given rights to our work, for free and without any input from the artists themselves involved. It does not even specify 'winners' which means its so general you are potentially taking advantage of everyone who enters the contest too.

So like those who have asked before and gone unanswered i am going to ask a question.

Do you edit out the signature?

I would nit pick this legal language as far as meaning goes and would re write it entirely to protect both artists and the magazine much more if i were you, hell id do it if i worked for them too. -.- Its really a simple edit that would clarify meanings and get more submissions as clearer meanings mean less 'ways it can be interpreted as' which means if you fuck up, you fuck up, but then the lines would be much clearer. Its really minor editing to the text that would clarify it so you wouldn't be getting so many inquiries about the meaning. Sure, you would still get some but... no artist wants to sign away their souls and your art is part of you in a way from deep down. It is why many lyrical artists who either steal from others or simply sell their own or work with big record labels at all are often seen as having sold their souls as it were by others, and sometimes by themselves too. You have to be clear because people are USED to others who keep trying to claim their art as a big bad company.

Their are contests where in the rules they force you to remove the the option to sell your own work yourself or prints of said work at all because they want to. In reality many contests are glorified 'here are some breadcrumbs for you, now give us your soul' type deal which is nothing i would sign even though really it doesn't say to give you its soul... the meaning is the same to a lot of artists as far as how they go about getting what they want. They are still taking part of you and using it and capitalizing on it without properly informing you in a clear way because they wish to use deception to make you more comfortable with something you would not otherwise BE comfortable with. I despise such 'agreements' and as such i reserve judgment.

In truth as soon as i saw this i started thinking of possibilities, but at the same time... im a smart person who reads more than enough to know that legal definitions matter as does being clear since when someone agrees to it, it is a binding agreement that would be used in a court of law if at any point the artist wants it taken out.

I don't really read magazines, i just think its an interesting contest if you clarify your language for the agreement better, maybe specify 'only for this purpose' type thing. A lot of artists especially on deviant art are used to deviant art being 'affiliated' with contests that want you to throw all your rights at them and screw you, and they want you to 'agree' to it so they cannot be sued for being scumbags. That is the raw truth on that matter. Deviant art in general tends to care more about the highest bidder not the most ethical one.

So, you will get many more submissions for very talented artists all over as well as less... uneasiness, if you clarify a little bit. I really don't think it would require a separate page as you would be surprised what a word or two here and their and a sentence somewhere at the end to clarify some things could do, wonders really. People are used to getting screwed or to people trying to screw them. Some of us pay attention, a lot more than you might think actually. I myself am wary of it because i know first hand how rough it gets when someone with more money than you comes after you in this world, fair and just or not. Most artists cannot afford to give up all their rights to a painting, especially one getting any sort of attention and might result in commissions for them as well. honestly, yours seems to be relatively a good intentioned contest unlike some of the others... If you would like i can send you the edits i would make so you might suggest them to someone who would be able to make them. It would be good for future reference as well. And hey, the better the language the more submissions you get and the more submissions you get the higher the chance you get some painting so amazing it would turn heads just by beauty alone and possibly gain more readers and subscribers to your magazine. Really, its in the magazines best interest as much as it is the artists.

I myself would not submit without clarification.

A typical artists signature is large enough to be legible and in a place that does not circumvent the art work. If your having issues with this, specify the size to painting ratio or at least idealize such with this in mind and what a signature entails, such as often times i include my deviant art url under mine, many artists who post online do because it allows others to find them easier if they wish to do so. Its not a watermark because the only watermark i bother with is the one deviant art provides for display purposes to prevent someone from saving the image without it, unless they buy a print of course. In truth deviant art itself makes more money off of artists prints than the artists themselves as they are a broker more so than they once were. Many artists leave deviant art for this and other reasons and Ive been told by others they consider me an art sell out because i post to deviant art. in truth, i think this is because of the crap they pull because they are a business making money before they are anything else.

In no way shape or form is anything i have said the only meanings conveyed of course, merely i am pointing out how utterly foolish it is to leave it so vague. Honestly, if i was running the magazine id have a lawyer look it over and tell them the intent and have someone good with the language but not a lawyer look it over and go back and forth with the lawyer and find a more people friendly way, because for those who don't understand legal language and aren't lawyers you still need to say things in a clear concise way so they know they aren't being screwed but your still not wording it to screw them, or yourself.

Overall the agreement and the intent seem to be favorable for both parties... but at the same time it would be more prudent to clarify. It doesn't need to be a big complicated agreement, just... clearer than it is. Yes im a pain in the ass and i know it too. :D xp nobody wants to think about these things until they are a problem... but i do anyway. Id rather think of it now and head off problems later. to some my way of thinking and doing things this way makes me a pain in the ass. xp

So erm... yeah. I don't really have anything else to say at the moment, this is my input.
--
i am not a lawyer, i just read a lot of law books... this does not make me a lawyer, merely someone who likes to learn and reads a lot of law books, and other books. Sort of like how reading medical books doesn't make me a doctor and so on and so forth. This is also why i suggest a lawyer go over things like this and having them go back and forth with someone to make it more every day people who aren't lawyers but still as people want reasonable amounts of clarification, friendly.

Please consider that, with respect to a digital work, you can insert a message encrypted with the use of steganography. In this message, you can enter all the data you want, which may be used by you (possibly in court) to enforce your rights on your work.

Thank you. I didn't know that. I learned something new today.

That being said, i doubt this would help from a legal standpoint if you signed the agreement saying you were giving an alternate entity your rights to your work. I would however say it might work for keeping the original copy of said work and proof of its authenticity so as to prevent changing of an agreement after the fact. This brings about so many possibilities i never knew about before. Still... its best to stay cautious of contests that are basically phishing for artist rights to their own works. I use the term 'phishing' because conceptually it fits better than 'fishing'. The same things happen to inventors, writers, any sort of artist or person who creates anything. Some companies even make you sign a paper upon your employment saying that if you write any poetry or any novels among other things that it belongs to the company. I don't care how much it pays, to me that is selling my soul. Its one thing to say 'i own what you do FOR this company' its another to say 'i own everything you create'... some of those agreements specify that it spans even fifteen years after you leave the company. So... its really not ONLY some of the contests on deviant art that are screwing artists royally.

I was always a traditional artist until the past couple years, so... other than some covert tactics for leaving your mark in a physical painting(for instance part of Vincent Van Gogh's authenticity is by his DNA, since he used his own blood in many of his paintings, its surprisingly well kept DNA considering how long some of those paintings went before they could be tested and of course as it was put into the paint, then of course their is also the brush strokes and techniques one uses and how they use them... i myself know that once you have a brush itself awhile it becomes unique in its own way and cannot be duplicated in its individual effect on said brush strokes and techniques, often some very famous painters used such- that have been used in modern day to help authenticate them or disprove them  as one of the painters own, of course their is also carbon dating-to verify age- among other things... its all very interesting isn't it?)... i didn't know you could with a digital painting. Ya learn something new every day. :)

I will definetally be looking more into this. Thank you.

Oh the possibilities, the wheels are already turning in my head. You really have no idea what you have set loose... im already devising my own art safety protocol for my art personally... because everyone needs to have their own personal plan to protect their art. you really have no idea how appreciated this is. Thank you so much... i will look into it and make sure...

You know it occurs to me, i knew this could be done and things embedded in software, in programs, even in emails or other interaction between servers or programs communications(because i know way too much about computers even if i don't know how to apply even half of what i know is possible, not myself but generally i know someone else who knows or have known someone else who could do so)... but i didn't know it could be done to art... i should have thought really... but it never occurred to me. Its funny, and im grateful that you told me. Something tells me i never would have thought about it on my own. I'm not deceptive by nature so... typically someone else has to be the deceptive one. I like it though... its not really deceptive just another layer of protection. Its just... not the line of thought i turn to unless i have serious reason to do so. I am glad you told me about it and i should probably stop putting my foot in my mouth and ramblings... but im really thankful and i want to convey that. And yeah... i think a lot.

People who don't have their purses stolen or have never been pick pocketed are often the ones that have their purses unzipped as they walk or keep something valuable in a shallow pocket. Its sort of like that.
If you have been though it or something similar or you know someone who has... its easier to come up with it but... stealing someone else's work never occurs to me so i don't really understand the mind of someone who steals someone else's work more than i have had to, to help someone else in the past.

Thank you. i wholly believe i would have never thought to look for something like that if you hadn't said anything. Thank you.

No problem, it was a pleasure.
It's so nice to learn something every day! This is one of the things in life that I hold more into account.
As for my comment, I was referring mainly to digital works, how to sign a digital work.
Of course, a work can be stolen, illegally printed and sold. This is the fate of all that done with bytes. The bytes flying everywhere!
My daily work is the protection of data of a designing studio, against industrial espionage, every day more fierce. Without strong encryption and steganography it would be impossible to get results.
But even just surf the Internet and on social networks can be a source of problems and dangers, as I have briefly highlighted in my journal Trivial passwords are easy to violate
So, be careful out there!

Have a great day :)

indeed. be careful, some of those sites that test password strength are phishing sites themselves.

also, id like to add after reading it... avoid peoples names or dates. Avoid something someone could easily guess, or even could guess if they read your diary for that matter... don't reference it ever in any blog etc etc etc... and if you have to choose a real word disrupt it and distort it so much that its hard to hack anyway.

You forgot the other types of hackers so you might want to put this is only one area of hacking in your journal. Ive dealt with shit through the wi fi, piggy backing on already trusted programs... typically the hacks result in me having to turn off remote access or other such features... repeatedly. more than once their was so much spyware in the computer a programming proficient friend of mine went through and portioned what i couldn't put on a back up and wiped it back to factory specs, because it was the only way to get rid of everything. I don't know all the computer programing stuff... but i know enough to know what can be done and how to roughly tell what is being done... tig on the other hand is great at in depth analysis and actually fixes computers for people. I can't create a program and most of the fixes i know for the more in depth stuff is basically crash it and pray the back ups aren't corrupted as well then build a firewall to prevent the same issue in the future... sad but true. Even then... well between tig and manuel they tend to be great at that sort of thing... gene is better at knowing general hardware capabilities which im good at too... and... well im better at diagnostics than gene but... meh, i grew up with computers fixing them up from old parts so... i dunno, even though i don't know computer programing and can't do shit without a pre programed software... really its not hard to tell. Older computers have weaker processors. Often times people in modern day are more careless hackers, they forget that you can do damage to the hardware. Hacking in that way is like sneaking up on someone... try not to put too much weight in one spot. -.- basically someone steps on the proverbial leaf and the computer glitches. Processor and memory... doesn't have enough to handle the hackers activities and ours too.

In this aspect its good to turn off the wi fi when your not actively online and shutdown/unplug your computer when your not using it.

I grew up with jokes about the NSA so... yeah... not like they were ever called by name exactly... more like they were the organization that didn't exist. My grandfather knew about them, people he knew who he served with knew about them... but apparently since you weren't 'supposed' to know about them... they would make this mocking joke about how they didn't exist. That spurned so many jokes... but my grandfather was the one who taught me to turn off the wi fi and unplug it.

Fact of the matter is, if the NSA can do it, someone else can too. For every door, every window, their is a way to sneak inside. this applies digitally as well. every program has a back door and so on and so forth and really the more you have things like that the easier it is for hackers. plus... i mean someone can hack your wi fi network and steal everything on any device connected to the network including accounts logged in through that network, online and everything in those accounts.

The truth of the matter is, the NSA was never as sneaky as they thought they were being. they were just playing games with peoples lives and often people who stood against them tended to disapear so... really people were just keeping quiet out of fear, which since they are much more well known... its really not as if its as easy to just do that like they used to. -.- even their own people. geez... im honestly glad snowden did it smart. Its funny isn't it? How their are so many whistle blowers that dont' escape the country and turn up dead by less than natural causes and obviously... well the senator who died the night before she was doing a press conference to blow it up national what cps does in America regarding the children and how they operate outside of the law and end up being more child trafficking and taking kids that don't need to be taken etc etc etc... she died and though all evidence points to fowl play it was declared a suicide, doesn't fit the MO at all either. Someone killed her. Same thing happened when my mom died. The leisions were congruent with her being dragged unconcious and put stuffed in the bathroom, then left their for some time before paramedics were called. he called later on purpose to make sure she would die. Despite the forensics, etc etc etc and the fact their were two small witnesses that night, my mother never saw any justice either... just like that senator. Both had stood against cps and gotten many a person in cps fired or facing some sort of criminal charge... both had stood up to crooked judges and cops alike. if you were wrong my mom stood up to you, if you were good you were good. I can't help but notice how many people who die either when those who don't want it blown into the light where it can be seen with transparency... why they tend to be involved in acts of vengeance or shushing up some case where their was obviously someone who decided to shush up someone very powerful in her own right. My mom died over custody of our baby sister... but i have never forgotten.

Anyway... whole thing is a mess... but i have to say... i feel rather smug. If i had said anything about the NSA before my grandfather would have shushed me if he heard(and he did actually, they really should have waited till i was older at least, when i could understand the gravity of it and keep my mouth shut... i was a little kid the first time i heard of them... just not by name exactly... but my grandfather and his friend were talking about it quite in depth at that point and really he should have known better, it wasn't exactly a time when he was alone)... anyway... if id of honestly said anything sooner more outright like snowden... id be called a conspiracy theorist. Apparently being smart and knowing whats going on around me and wanting to avoid lack of justice and wanting justice for those who are killed and labaled otherwise like my mom and that senator, no matter who killed them or why... murders need to be brought to justice dammit, and for that to happen... justice needs to exist. most people tend not to realize just not scarce justice in this country really is.

I often have my fingers in analyzing situations and people, paperwork... blah blah blah...

Anyway, apparently they recently released information that their is a way to hack a computer with radio waves, i knew that too. As far as i know not even unplugging a computer works for that but i don't know much about it... i assume though that it needs some sophisticated way of making it work. Not much i can do about it so i try not to worry about that one too much. I can check data streams for really only so much, not for radio waves and frankly... if i factor that in i think i might just go nutters... i mean could you imagine? Some all around hackers get so paranoid because they know how easy it is to hack.. and if you can hack it, someone can track it and yeah... it might take time but they can track it back to you as well, and they can even trace the data streams for the hacker having redirected said data stream. I don't read a data stream the same way... i don't know what most of it even means, i just have a photographic memory so its easy to tell when something doesn't look like it should and the data patterns aren't matching up, and at that point i ask someone who knows more to look into it. Usually not tig or manuel... i wouldn't name people i regularly ask for such or at all, not with how paranoid our government is or how much people have been sabatoged in direct relation to certain state run things as well so... yeah, wouldn't happen. And... for the record i nor anything i have asked has broken any laws or broken into anyone elses files... just my own when i get locked out of them by someone else, or locking them out of my files because really, whoever it is has no business doing that shit. I have not bothered learning how to hack on purpose, i think i would find it tempting to hack people for the hell of it, not maliciously or with any intention but to learn but... im nosy and i know myself well enough to know it would be tempting and i just prefer to avoid temptation in this instance...  but yeah... i did let google know last week they had someone piggy backing and leaving data trails, using Google system to hack users. I don't know how wide spread it is or if the person made sure it got to the right people... really you would think they would learn with how often this seems to be happening in the past couple years or so. Even if it gets to the right people i really don't know what they will do with the information provided. I made sure i verified all of it before i said anything about it to them at all so... yeah. You would be surprised how many more ways their are to hack a person and how many methods within methods... even if i don't know applied hacking i do know theory of it enough and knowing what can be done with it... i just have no interest in actual hacking, just thinking up ways to prevent it and thwarting whatever idiot keeps being so obvious and on top of it... trolling someone with remote access to scribble on their digital painting????? i mean really???? whoever did it has to be the same person who had my phone tapped a couple years ago. Whoever it was they must have been horrible at it because their was so much feedback from it, like it was crossing with a walkie talkie and their was a point i handed it to a friend of mine who was over because i wasn't just hearing feedback but actual people in said feedback and it was a total 'i told you so' moment. :/ I checked, their was no court order for any sort of bugging on me or anyone in my household, not my roommate of the time either.

Im not sure the notice for the person who hacked me but... ive been trolled more than once by whoever it is... actually thats why i thought to look up remote access in the first place. If your mouse starts moving without you, don't assume your computer is haunted... go in and make sure your remote access is off. A couple times it was getting shut on and off like a light switch and i thought i was going crazy until someone else was present when it was happening. Sometimes its nice to have someone confirm your really not going insane. Sometimes hacking is simply done to open the door so to speak... i mean remote access is one of the most dumbass unprotected programs ever... its got such weak defenses... really its a disaster waiting to happen anyway... but hey, im just the nerd lady with tablet for drawing(or a paint brush) in one hand, a lap top in my lap and a book in the other hand... don't mind me. -.- thats how i feel most of the time. I know im a nerd who loves studying and researching a little too much for most peoples tastes... but still. Considering i don't know how to counter even half of this crap by myself and considering how basic my knowledge in this particular area is... i really don't think it should be that hard for people to just be careful or admit their is something to be careful about. In todays day and age though if i point this out i will end up being called a conspiracy theorist and put on medications i don't need. Speaking of mental health, did you know the guy who invented ADHD and wrote everything our modern 'mental health' stuff is based on admitted he made it up on his death bed? Their was some international article on it because this guy is what most of the world followed including America and Europe... it was all very interesting and very... well given how many people react with a 'im sane and you have a diagnosis so you must be insane'... dude i have PTSD... its basically really traumatic memories that your brain forces you to recall at inopportune and often distracting moments... vividly. Its basically 'intrusive memory'... basically pick the worst moments in your life and re live it but also your still seeing the present physically though some people introvert so far sometimes one may wonder... but still. every smell, taste etc etc etc... some people need a lil more help than others separating internal and external reactions... but in truth thats all it is. Really bad memories from trauma, stuck on repeat. As if forgetting was an option for me anyway. -.- Even without PTSD its not like i could ever forget.

Anyway... yeah, i think a lot. so its not just about this stuff or the paperwork stuff... really i put that much thought into everything, accept sometimes i just don't think and paint without thinking instead, that is very calming. to just paint... my brain is very active, im smart and i analyze everything naturally and often without prompt to do so. Anyway...

Its not every day someone shares something i didn't know with me, especially something this big and important but so obvious... did i mention important? So, i figure since you told me something valuable that i don't know that i would offer some misc hacker related computer stuff... and misc stuff because im sick and bored and its interesting. It can be with certain aspects frustrating... but at least its interesting and hopefully reading it won't lead to boredom for you... at least what irritates me might amuse you to some extent... but really i like inducing thought and having thought inducing conversations.

So... it was interesting that i didn't know about this. I can tell you though that with traditional paintings their is a technique with invisible ink markings on the back or on the painting itself depending on how you do it and what you use, also on what paints you used and if you used sealant. If you use a paint sealant and let everything dry then you can add it on front usually without any fear of damaging the painting, even though that is where it is going. Personally, i like doing under paintings on candle holders, another painting under a painting that you can only see when a candle is lit, something intricate that really makes you wonder... that sort of thing. I never was much for the secret stuff in paintings though, i didn't have the sealant to protect said paintings and in all honesty when i was younger i preferred colored pencils... to be honest i think i still do. Oh, invisible ink fun fact. though ive never used it and you might want to look it up if you want to... i read somewhere that lemon juice can be used as an invisible ink of sorts. I just used to draw something on the back in permanent marker. xp

Hi Luna.
In fact, I have not forgotten the security problems that can arise from the use of WiFi networks, simply I have not dealt with in my journal, because they are so complex that would deserve an entire book of disclosure.
On the other hand, to hack a wireless network are not required too many resources. Much can be learned by following these links:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cracking… | www.hackyshacky.com/2013/04/Ho… | www.aircrack-ng.org/doku.php?i… | mods-n-hacks.wonderhowto.com/h…
netsecurity.about.com/od/secur…
By now, we all know the events related to the activities of the NSA.
Every day I follow these links: cryptome.org/ | wikileaks.org/ | firstlook.org/theintercept/
and many others.
If existed a Nobel Prize for Freedom, it should be given to Edward Snowden, and for other reasons, even to Julian Assange and other unknown whistleblowers.
Moreover, if I were the Pope (but I'm an atheist, so...) I should make them saints: Saint Edward and Saint Julian, martyrs for Freedom. :D
If I also think that most of the NSA's spying activity concerns industrial secrets or control of politicians of sovereign states,
then I wonder who the criminals are... Certainly not Mr. Snowden!
About the radio control of a computer you can read something here:
www.nrc.nl/nieuws/2013/11/23/n…
or how to spy on a cell phone:
www.spiegel.de/international/w…
cryptome.org/2014/10/exploit-s…
I noticed that you have the inclination to write so much, but instead I can not expose myself too... I'm here as anonymous.
Also, I think in Italian, but I have to write in English, and this makes me a little tired (so I apologize if my English is not as good as that of Queen ElizabethGodSaveTheQeen)
If I may make a suggestion to you, it would be to write your thoughts in literary form here on Literature. You certainly have many things to say.
Take care of yourself :)

Yeah, i know... and hacking wi fi isn't that hard. While i have not done it, the theory of it seems simple enough on its own. While i know it might be harder than it looks reading about it... im rarely wrong about that sort of thing. Its simple, just not widely publisized and something people generally don't talk about in fear someone will figure it out... because well, its really not as hard as some people make it out to be. its rather simple. Ive met people who do it habitually to bypass password security on wi fi and hack into the Internet for free Internet. Mind you, this was many years ago and i only know because they offered to do the same for me... and it requires some sort of conduit, basically a wireless Internet usb adapter or a modem... though some older computers and some newer ones i would assume(if they share this trait) may or may not need it depending on the security in place and the methods used ... though either way it really ends up depending more on the skill of the person doing it and how much they know about what they are doing and how much the computer itself can take... and even then that is rather a moot point with the wireless adapter or a modem unless your computer is too old to keep up with all the memory the updates take up for security stuff nowadays... or for anything really. My old desktop is well on in years, ive had it for over ten years. Its still responsive... but while its processor could still technically keep up... it would be slow end today and its capacity for memory just isn't up to snuff... while it could be... its not and i don't have the stuff to fix it up for that either. Mind you... its very simple and since its an older model that has some supposed built in capability for Internet which my grandfather never figured out how to use and i never knew where to even start... basically it looked more like misleading advertising to put it bluntly, even the sticker on the computer itself insinuates it should be Internet ready without anything else... but it isn't. Yeah... it still has the stickers on it, same ones it had out of the box. NO electronic item lasts so long without being taken care of and its not like the stickers are easy to remove anyway... i mean its never been wet or anything so no reason for them to come off at least i don't think. Anyway... they make it out to be harder than it is.

Its sort of like how some books are banned not just because of some crazy religious people who just up and decided since they and people of their religion couldn't enjoy that book then NOBODY could enjoy or otherwise read that book... of course then their are others... such as this book that gets you put on the government watch list just by looking it up, mentioning it directly online(not sure about indirectly)... and its illegal to own or print even a single page of it. Its because it has information about how to make home made bombs and whatnot...

then their was this book store that had a banned books section in the back room, id never seen so many fairy tailes in my life and he only let be back because i loved books and had literally already read every book the guy was selling otherwise already. I wasn't aloud to read anything actually dangerous... but you would be surprised how many old books are banned. Though some books are technically banned government agents have shut down entire book stores for selling them, such as mein comp, Hitlers book basically.

Always be careful when researching online. The government has been regulated books and information for a long time... and over the years i have watched the Internet become more and more subdued. It really did start off as a relatively open source but it has been edited and censored to oblivion. I could find more information in an elementary school library, and yeah id still have to sift through and cross reference information and figure out if the author is valid or not... but that was part of some English papers i did in elementary school anyway... i wonder if they still do things like that or if they teach children to take everything they read as it presents itself rather than do their own research and cross reference and double check... thats true in all things, not just this sort of thing. Did you cross reference this with books at a library? It IS in books.. not a lot of them and im not sure if most of them have not been banned by now or not...

You would be surprised how many history books are banned. When you realize how much of our history is whitewashed its not so surprising but initually its shocking. Their is no other type of book so banned as history... only about 1 percent of books are banned because they contain anything 'dangerous' in their pages... and even then i honestly don't think it should be banned, merely... restricted to who can buy it since you don't want kids who can't handle the information having it before they can be mature and not use it(if they know what it looks like they can even help stop someone because they know enough to notice what it looks like, hell this is what they did back in my school days in elementary school-before books on it were banned but then we just ended up with people figuring it out anyway and people around them not knowing what it looks like so they couldn't warn anyone and the people doing it nearly succeeded and would have if they hadn't basically admitted what they were about to do. In my school days it wasn't banned and kids were taught to look out for those things. It was right with stranger danger and the karate kicks and punches on DARE day... because DARE wasn't just a day about drugs, it was a day they told us all to beware of stranger danger and gave out pamphlets to parents who attended and teachers as well and to students whose parents couldn't make it for neighborhood watch and how to start one or find one to join and help keep neighborhoods safe... those neighborhoods are still safer than others, cops can't stop every crime and half the time they are the very criminals committing them. Anyway... i feel so old saying this but in reality im only twenty five. I don't know wreather to be horrified or amazed at how much something can change in less than twenty years. Not that books hadn't been banned for often ridiculous reasons having nothing at all to do with public safety... but still. Don't you think for one second that if someone fears you knowing it, it might not be so easy to find. Hacking is one of those subjects you don't easily find things like that about. Also, its one of those subjects that can get you on some government watch list though if your really good at it and hack into something big they might offer you a job... but they won't offer, they will make you choose between jail and working for them and if you choose jail you might not make it to jail and might instead end up forced to work for them anyway or just disappearing altogether. Some friends were going to visit a friend and gene was one of them. When they got their his house was cleared out as if nobody had been their. He had been a hacker who was forced to work for the government and he kept all his stuff in a room that was done up with magnets around all the doorways and windows and though gene didn't say it, probably the vents too. He had been caught hacking into something big and made to work for them... and while he wasn't supposed to, he still hacked things like he had before, just set it up so the  magnets would erase his hard drives if the computers were taken though. You don't see a lot of high powered magnets anymore either, its hard to get a hold of anything powerful enough, or at least enough of it to do that. Anyway, they all showed up one day as was planned every week and he was gone, everyone was gone. His wife and kid were gone too, at least i think gene said he had a kid or kids... but this was like ten or fifteen years ago at least.

All im saying is... be careful how much you rely on Internet sources. Some things were made out to be big bad conspiracies for a reason. It was to discourage thought about them and people figuring out things government and their agencies doesn't want them to know. Even today people often have gag orders put on them when their children are taken by cps in instances their is no actual abuse claimed. Their is a lot of crap going through channels about it now but despite that their are millions of families in the same boat every year, not all of which have said orders to remain silent though the law is constricting enough as it is on what you can and cannot say about it without ending up imprisoned. Yeah... its really like that. Their is even a law you cannot knowingly give names of state workers(judges and cps workers are included in this) on 'open Internet', because people have and it got people in trouble and triggered a nationwide movement to shut them down... mainstream media also won't touch it for the most part, nobody WANTS to admit just how much it happens.

Anyway... just be careful. I don't know about you but... we were taught the tools to weed out all the facts ourselves in school and even how to figure out if a writer was falsifying via double checking said facts.

Yeah, by now we all know about the NSA... but when i was eighteen i was in a mental hospital for attempted suicide(medication they had me on made me suicidal and despite many many attempts to have my medication changed i was ignored so... i ended up attempting suicide, go figure... many people have gone this way and many have succeeded... ive found out in the years since that it counts as criminal negligence). Anyway... i was in the hospital for attempted suicide sharing a room with some girl who thought she was Jesus because of a head injury years before(she had been their for years apparently), and this guy was talking about the nsa, the only reason i didn't dismiss him as crazy was because id grown up with the knowledge their really was some big bad government thing going on. Anyway... apparently he got caught talking to a reporter or something and got fired and shipped off to another state and committed to a mental ward. He was labeled as having psychosis and given anti psychotics and given diagnosis of schizo effective(it means your crazy sometimes, basically only with certain things and only when they say its not true and your crazy for it-basically its a claim that your only selectively crazy) and of being a conspiracy theorist. He wasn't and actually he was probably one of the most sane people in the entire place if im brutally honest. This was years before snowden and as my mom and my grandfather always said... where their is smoke their is fire and where their is one their are hundreds more. This doesn't just refer to fire or cockroaches but when it comes to the government basically. So... yeah, im actually rather glad snowden blew it wide open and ran the way he did. Those who repeatedly complain and file said complaints end up in less than scrupulous circumstances. Basically if he had gone through the 'proper channels' as it were he would have at best been ignored but watched in an attempt to stop him from blowing the whistle. All complaints being denied to have ever been made if anything ever came out and of course standardly they deny everything anyway. At worst he would have ended up like that guy or some other way they swipe people under the rug. If making you crazy doesn't work then people just 'go missing'. It might mean what happened to this guy, or it might mean something else entirely. Either way... just be careful. Hacking is one of those things that gets severely monitored and information is... not as open and plentiful about it or theories of it that can be used... basically banned books, banned articles, banned... a lot of things really, and then things that aren't 'officially' banned but really the government and its agencies act as if they might as well be banned redirecting sabotaging etc etc etc etc etc... sort of like the mien comp by Adolf Hitler type thing.

Really its the same old same old only with the Internet instead of books. You would think they would cut that shit out. Their were even a couple big stinks way back because government was monitoring peoples phone calls and going through peoples mail. Same old shit, they just need to be put back in their place... again. -.- the difference is though that people are so used to it they might not do so which will not lead to nice things. It really just leads to them getting more comfortable violating peoples rights.

Anyway... yeah, your right, hacking is a big complicated conglomeration that by itself could have entire books written about it... and maybe it does just to point that out... and all connected/related issues are just as complicated, some of them more so.

Applied theory however often leaves out the simpler methods that are known. Ive noticed over the years facts disappearing like those about simpler easier to use methods of hacking and some other things as well. So, just be careful and its always good to look in a library, an old library that might not be up to date with removing books that might have been banned in recent years... those are typically best. Even if they have been banned you still have 'plausible deniability' on your side. You don't' necessarily KNOW they were banned... and their is a technicality legal wise that goes with that. If they have changed mein comp into being actually banned i don't know about it, i haven't looked at the banned book list in awhile... sometimes older versions of the list are put on the list as well so in truth, i don't' even know every banned book that has existed or bullied out of print. Some of those books sell though, even having been bullied out of print, for more than a mansion costs to own complete with a 200 acre property around it. Information is valuable to people... though most of those books are history books that were bullied out of print, usually by giving anyone who agreed to print or sell them hell and ruining peoples lives over them.

I agree with you. If their was a Nobel prize for freedom, id give it to him too. Our founding fathers would be proud. America scarcely resembles anything they would be proud in today, and people like snowden who blow the whistle... yeah, i think they must be smiling from the other side at those people if they have not been reincarnated already.

If i were to be anonymous... i tried that. Sucked at it like you wouldn't believe. Or maybe you would. xp lol

I write a lot anyway and don't worry, i don't find it offensive at all. :) If it helps, in 'real life' i don't talk like this anymore... i used to however, talk a lot i mean. About everything and anything. you could say losing my own children to a claim i thought my cat could turn into a person and then to a claim basically meaning i supposedly wouldn't miss them(because when you get down to the nitty gritty that is what they were claiming, that i wouldn't feel their absence so it was a 'special case' and it was alright to rip apart my family forever... because i don't have feelings according to cps, then again all my reports were good reports, nothing bad about my parenting... my kids hadn't been lacking in anything while at home... they just took my kids claiming i lacked sanity, saying i thought my cat could turn into a person... which has never been true by any stretch but people are idiots. They used the stigma and thats the only reason my children aren't home where they belong. Anyway... if its any consolation i never talk like this anymore, so you probably see more here than id ever say to anyone at least all at once or even all in one day for that matter. Even to my life partner and best friend. He knows all of this of course... but im a lot more... closed off now, i talk less, smile less... its harder to make me smile actually and their is never a moment im not missing my children, i even feel guilty for finding any semblance of peace or happiness despite the pain and worry from that... so often times im rather quiet and subdued as opposed to the open chatty person i used to be. I am a lot more inverted than i used to be, but still... i was always more introverted than i seemed anyway, then again so is everyone to some degree. I think a lot, and i couldn't say everything i thought if my life or someone else's depended on it... so i sort of had to be anyway... and often times i used that perception that because i talked so much their wasn't anything i didn't say to my advantage... such as if you act like you have no secrets, people are more at ease and they never consider you as having any secrets. So... while i knew about big bad stuff like that, i didn't really talk about it. Mind you... i knew from experience to keep my mouth shut firmly... and some of it was my grandfathers warnings as well to not talk about it outside of the house and to be careful even inside the house... blah blah blah... so yeah. Its impossible for someone to voice every thought they have... but i can tell you i never thought my cat could turn into a human being. -.- While my two cats(which i still have) are very much a part of the family they are still not magical transforming animals. -.- the caller claimed to be a police officer... i checked, no police called them so whoever it was, was pretending to be an officer of the law to get them to come out thinking it was an open and shut snatch... and they spent the rest of it covering their own ass and sabotaging reunification at any chance they got. The fucked up thing is, because i myself never gave them a reason and the children were never actually abused or neglected in any way shape or form... and the judge wasn't even a family court judge to begin with but instead a judge from juvenile taking an overflow case because it happens that fucking much and the judges get an altered pay for some things more so than others... basically everyone gets paid accept the children and the parents, the foster or adopted parents also get paid mind you so their is very little incentive for any actual honesty and often the workers who take the children are the ones who take them or someone who knows them who wanted a child specifically or one like them in some way... it really does happen and its horrible. I spend quite a lot of time working on stuff to do with that though im more of a background person. I filter through and make sure a page a friend runs, a group, doesn't get spammed with advertisements and her and her husband run the page... and i do research and keep an eye on those who post on the page... do checks on members, i do more than i say and i rarely have any sort of reason to be anything but the background person. their are so many people looking to take further advantage of the parents who are as much victims as their children most of the time(most... their is a small percentage of people who genuinely have performed some kind of abuse, typically though even they aren't bas enough for cps to get involved in the first place, their own standards as published make that obvious... but they don't follow their own rules let alone laws in place... so its a very sticky messy thing, especially as they play on having some sort of immunity to the law.. most of them aren't even licensed and many are contracted out through adoption agencies)... anyway, i used to be that up front type person, even leading in high school in my local ffa chapter. I was a bit of a misfit but i was rarely quiet unless i was reading or spacing out, or listening to someone else talk or a teacher... but otherwise if i wasn't talking i was singing. Period. Now.. i wouldn't do that, i just prefer being honest, creative, and while i don't like being ignored... i don't really like being center of attention either so... even my artistic signature has changed since then, to utilize my nickname. It used to be the same style with just my initials. That is as close as I come to being anonymous in the way you have to be. Even under another name or a screen-name, i am still myself. I don't envy you, i don't enjoy it when i have no choice but to be 'professional and to the point' all the time... no 'excessive elaborating' etc etc etc... blegh. I prefer to be me... even if that person isn't the same person she used to be.

You think in Italian, that must be interesting. Their are so many words that don't translate over to English. Historically speaking this is because it was by design. The British, when they invaded and enslaved the people or otherwise forced them under the rule of the British monarchy, would remove them from language, cultural celebrations etc etc etc... the language was made easier to learn and less in depth this way, and many words have no translation. In fact i was studying some French and i found that their is a word that you could not properly do it justice without an entire paragraph at least, of English words. I think it has to be interesting... is it similar to having to simplify as i do? My thoughts are so much bigger, for lack of a better term, than what i actually write or say, i think about so much more too and so much more in depth... but most people would look at me like i was speaking another language if i didn't use more words, smaller words too. Anyway historically it was because anything deeper was forbidden and any word not liked was forbidden by the British monarchy. In some instances speaking your native language was punishable by death. They were never a peaceful country, accept when queen Elizabeth(i think i got this one right), the king-less queen reigned... so much irony. :/ Anyway, their are so many words that just don't translate over, so i could imagine quite well how that must feel having to do that... at the same time i sometimes don't think in English either... but thats not something i can explain, i don't really know how to explain what its like to think in sign language sometimes. It happens when you spend a lot of time with a language or learning a language. I learned it back in high school, its not like you picture it the signs... its not exactly explainable... and at the same time its hard to translate things sometimes. Honestly my biggest obstacle with that is that i have arthritis and making my hands type even when it hurts to do so is one thing, making them do what could be considered by some to be off the wall and intricate hand signs is another... and thats not even mentioning how horrible my vision is and how expensive the glasses i need with the lenses i need special... so yeah. In my head i spent so much time on it than i sometimes think in it and apparently while sometimes i talk in my sleep, sometimes i also sign in my sleep too, or write, though not in sign language. Their technically isn't a written language for sign language. Their is a sort of something created to make it easier for hearing people to learn it... but thats mostly what its for, and even then its just pictures of finger spelling through their are diagrams when your learning, for signs themselves and their movements, hand orientation... etc etc etc. Its funny because i rarely have any cause to use it but i still sometimes end up thinking in it anyway even after all this time. I sometimes do the same thing with a couple Japanese words... but i think thats more because i watch anime in Japanese with subtitles and have worked to learn Japanese... while im not fluent some words have been replaced in my thoughts... and the same goes for some spanish and other words... then again ive always been like that. I can't pretend to understand completely as most of my thoughts are strictly in English or undefined in language anyway... why that is im not sure myself but i do have some theories on it. I can imagine the head ache it is sometimes at the very least.

Hahaha... you would not be the first to suggest such a notion. xp

You take care as well and remember to do your research and double check said research, always include more than Internet sources and remember to especially take wikipedia with a grain of salt since its literally anyone can add or remove information without any proving anything. Have a wonderful and blessed day. :)

Hi Luna :)
The only one prohibited book in Europe is Mein Kampf, but only in Germany (but I'm not too sure of that). Of course there are books that can be boycotted by someone or by some institution, civil or policy, but that's another story... Everyone is free to read what he wants. Reading is not a crime.
I agree with you. Banning books is stupid, as well as anti-democratic. Especially banning the history books is truly alarming. Perhaps it's for this reason that the Americans cause so many disasters in their foreign policy, around the world? They do not know the history? The real one? The reading of Mein Kampf can be useful and necessary to understand what was going through the crazy mind of Hitler and so know what to do against another fool like him. We must take advantage of the lessons of the History.

The efforts of the NSA make me think of the great dictatorships of the past and, alas, of those that still exist to this day.  Dictatorships have a damned afraid of their subjects, so they spy on all, but aren't the USA a great democracy? Then I think that NSA is nothing more than a power of organized crime, because if the espionage for the purpose of national defense is a lawful thing, the indiscriminate violation of the privacy of citizens is a crime.
Electric eye, in the sky
Feel my stare, always there
...OMG!

With regard to your personal and familiar affairs, I don't want to say anything (and how could I?), but you must know that I am a good listener... or reader, in this case. :)
There's something about your relationship with your cat that reminds me of a short period of my life when I was very young: my best interlocutor was a dog, Laika, a female German Shepherd. Laika was the most intelligent animal I have ever known. When Laika died, I ran away from my home and I went in Spain. If nothing else, during almost two years, I could improve my Spanish. So, in addition to Italian and French (I live on the border with France), now I know how to speak Spanish, too.
And yes, the Italian and English are very different. The problem lies not in words (just use a dictionary), but especially in syntax (the syntax of the Italian language is very complex, even for many Italians) and in many verbal forms that do not exist in English. For me, the French language is easier, because it has syntax and verb forms similar to Italian, pretty much the same, as well as Spanish. It is for this reason that my English is very poor.

In any case, as I understand, you have experienced complicated events in your life (it happened to me too), so I suggest you to write, write, write... maybe a book in the third person, maybe just for yourself. Tell stories, like painting or playing an instrument, is a very liberating.
Ciao ciao.
Karolus The Big Bad Wolf... oh my! :D

Hey!

:bulletblue: First off the only reason we do not allow watermarks on the cover is for design purposes, and we may sometimes adjust the artwork (size vise) to fit it onto the cover - therefore we cannot accept submissions where the artists is not willing to provide an un-watermarked copy.

:bulletblue: Secondly Designn is a community run magazine always operating in good faith with artists, we are in no way trying to take advantage of artists by using their artwork without credits. The magazine is a not-for-profit project, where the digital editions are freely available and all profits from the printed edition are used to fund Designn and contests like this one.

:bulletblue: We provide a full page inside cover feature for the artwork used on the cover, with links and credits to the author. The next two winners and any other covers featured within the magazine would also be given appropriate credits. The artwork selected from this contest would only be used for the 6th edition of the Designn Magazine and for any future use we would seek for permission from the author.

:bulletblue: Signatures placed towards the bottom of the artwork won't be an issue with us - however there is a chance that they could be covered by other elements on the cover.

:bulletblue: Only the winning artworks (top 3) would be used in promotional material (if any) - and where possible we would provide credits for the author. This promotional material would mainly include banners & adverts of the magazine and is not done for profits.

I hope I have sufficiently clarified the issues for you and please feel free to get back to me if you have any more clarifications.

Regards,

yes, however a clarification about a standard signature being alright might help then, because the way things are put its sort of left out in the open waters.

Oh i understand why with the watermark, i also understand the re sizing, a lot of people like to do more than that and more than putting words on it for a cover... that wasn't what i was talking about when i talked about. Thank you however for clarifying, i hope someone reads this and is helped out. :)

Well i figured that, while some things are left open its clear the intentions are to credit the artist in this, as it is stated clearly that part of the prize is a feature with the art being used for the cover. If i didn't think their were good intentions i would not have bothered truth be told. If you didn't, it wouldn't matter and id just be helping you come up with ideas to placate people rather than do good by them. I don't bother saying anything on these contests typically, not all of them have good intentions towards the artists. Its not that some of them have bad intentions either exactly... just its not good intentions and is more greed oriented, give as little as possible but take as much as you can get away with type thing. I wouldn't be trying to help at all if i thought for a moment this was like that, none of them ever offer anything like that so thoroughly crediting an artist or even crediting an artist at all really, they just squeak by using the excuse that if they didn't offer its implied that since you hand over all your rights to it, you hand over the credit for having done it as well. Most people who agree think they are at least going to get credited for their work, they aren't more often than not, in fact some agreements include them putting in the fine print type stuff that if you try to claim it once you 'win' that they reserve the right to sue you and some of the 'agreements' get rather.. well i wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole nor would i go near the possibility of giving them ideas of how to screw the artists more than they do. no, the intent seems to be to help the artists as much as this also benefits the magazine if not possibly more so depending on how unknown the artist is or is not post article. I wouldn't try to help if i thought for one second this was like so many other contests out their.

yes, i know. When talking about other contests and some of the dirty dealings that go on as well as what some artists might think without clarification of some sort... i wasn't doing so because i thought that was what this was. I know exactly the value of what is being offered, i just want to make sure you know you will get more people and thus more options and potentially an amazingly eye catching painting that will capture more subscribers and draw as much attention to your magazine as it will to the artists you feature... if you clarify better. Intent alone is not obvious without words to direct it and only is pure clarity within ones self. Fact of the matter is, their are people who would not once consider someone would possibly do such things as others do, but at the same time their are those who don't know at all that any of those things ARE done, yes still their are those who do them without pausing to consider how wrong those things are. Clarity of intent can only be expressed with some level of clarification. You don't have to hammer it to death and nit pick it, just basic clarifications keeping in mind how an artist might see or more what you would see if you were in someone else's shoes and didn't know the intentions.

See, everything you say here should be in the post above, this third bullet point clarifies things artists will want to know and some will breath a sigh of relief reading it. Your contest looks too good to be true and unless you clarify many will assume it is because of how many of them area aware of the big jerks in this world who lack ethics such as this.

Actually, all of this would be useful to put above, it would help clarify a lot for a lot of people. :)

Thank you for your time and for your clarification. See, now even though i know i won't win i feel more than happy to participate in this contest because well... when ethics are kept everyone can be happy. Besides, i am already looking forward to seeing the work of whoever wins. :)

When they know the terms are safe people are more apt to pass it around, for instance... i will be passing this around to others. :) Not before being absolutely positive i was right of course, no... i learned a long time ago not to take chances like that. Their is always some asshole hiding behind vagueness in such things so they can use that to claim some alternate 'meaning' and screw people with it. One reason i suggest clarification. These are things many look at. :) Since one of the people i am going to suggest this too is worlds of a better artist than me, at least their style is more popular at the very least-I am more than certain that if they enter not only will i still not win but they will unless of course one of the many other amazing artists enters.

One more question. Does it have to be a new work, or can we submit an older work as well? I know it says you can submit more than one submission... but even if i submit a new one i have one old one i personally would like to submit. Even if it doesn't win, it is personally one of my favorites. At most i have maybe two i would myself see as something i would submit... though one of those maybe not since it specifically won a contest geared towards sexiness and autumn. While nothing is seen exactly and it isn't quite so as to need censoring... it was designed to be some sort of sexy. Its actually, ironically, one of my simpler paintings. Its ironic how the more details i add in the more those details seem to be overlooked and the more the simpler paintings tend to be the most liked paintings. I like to experiment with different styles... anyway the other one im thinking about is my favorite. I don't normally do blatantly sexy even with artistic nudes, in fact i usually move those to my scraps and have some internal battle in myself about wreather or not to keep it in scraps or put it back. lol An artist is their own worst critique. :) Ah, the autumn leaves contest wasn't a major contest, it was a group contest and in truth i don't enter contests very often at all. I don't care much about winning because if i care about winning then it stops being fun and it effects the work i do, the expression in the art. blegh. If you have any opinion on this yourself personally let me know, only if you have time of course. I think im going to be asking my beloved about what they think about that one if i can submit an old painting. Oh i know... people get all sorts of 'i expect' when you use digital mediums... but i am an impressionist and what is conveyed is more important to me than cold hard technique, though truth be told im more than capable of said cold hard techniques. I wouldn't have won so many contests in my younger days if i wasn't. I just trample all over peoples expectations so i know no matter what i submit the chances of it winning are slim to none. it is however nice to know whoever wins will be safe from harm though. :) yeah, i know im weird. xp

With the clarification given i personally think this contest will be fun, to submit work and keep an eye on the other works submitted sounds like it will be fun and at no risk to whoever wins. Sounds safe to me. :)
